MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF FIPP UNY TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE DECEMBER 2023 FIPP GRADUATION CEREMONY
Prof. Dr. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto, M.Pd., Dean of the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), graduated 23 students of the Bachelor program (S1) and 17 students of the Master program (S2). The event will take place on December 29, 2023, in Abdullah Sigit FIPP UNY Hall.
Prof. Nurtanio, in his speech, delivered inspirational messages to the graduation participants. First, he congratulated and wished success to all participants who had officially become bachelors and masters. "You have gone through a long and grueling journey to achieve this degree. Congratulations and success to all of you who have now officially become bachelors and masters," said Prof. Nurtanio.
Furthermore, Prof. Nurtanio also did not forget to give appreciation to parents, lecturers, and education staff who have played a major role in the success of the graduates. "It is worth thanking the parents, lecturers, and education staff who have supported and guided all students so far. Your success is also their success," he added.
In his speech, Prof. Nurtanio also invited all FIPP UNY graduates to continue to maintain the spirit and moral ethics in various aspects of life. "You are not only scholars and masters, but also agents of change for common progress. Morality and ethics are the main foundation in achieving success," said Prof. Nurtanio.
Furthermore, Prof. Nurtanio announced that UNY will be opening an advanced school with international-standard facilities and encouraged the graduates to spread this information to their colleagues. "UNY remains committed to providing the best education. Let's share this information with your friends so that they can also seize the same opportunities," he explained.
Previously, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Iis Prasetyo, conveyed that the number of graduates in this period is 40, with details of the number of graduates per study program to be announced later. He also urged the graduates to actively follow in the footsteps of previous alumni through study tracers, building careers, and establishing partnership networks that can support collective progress.
